I knew we had a few smart students but never did I actually take notice of the tremendous achievements made by the students from S.H.S. It's not normal for me to read the newsletter but I decided to since I wanted to know what was going on. After doing so, I had a moment of regret not trying hard at all from the very beginning of my high schooling life. If I did, I'm sure I would be much better off today, being more intelligent perhaps, maybe have a few achievements to be proud of. I wish I took up more competition when I was younger because that would had made me more competitive, making me want to do better and study more. I've spent a whole load of my mum's money on tutoring and it has not helped me at all, which shows in my results.
Anyway all in all, if there was anything I would wish for, it would be to start high school ALL OVER again form Year 7 to 12. I think it's a little late but this will be the moment when I stop all the unnecessary things that I've upheld till now and actually do something. HSC is almost here and this isn't a reminder to anyone who comes by this blog, it's a reminder to myself. There's approximately 39 days left until HSC Examinations and within this little time I must give it my best shot. This means I've got to stop gaming, go out less or not go out at all but also not waste time after school procrastinating and being unproductive. As remorseful as I am, I can't risk wasting time, and for me, wasting time is what I'm best at - like now.
But as I said, that's just me; I've always wondered what it was that kept people motivated or wanting to strive for success, the fuel that kept these ingenious humans to continuously look forward. I'm not sure how I'll get there or if I will but right now I rely on other students to inspire me, make me want to do better.
I had a lot to say but now I'm out of words, all in all I only paid attention to the seniors in the newsletter so on my own personal note; congratulations to the year 11's or soon to be year 12's.
If there was one grade which I could go back to, it would be year 7, that way I would get to live through year 10 and 11 all over again, probably the most challenging and worthwhile segment of the 6 years of high school.
